The Drug Regulatory Authority solicits the support of individuals and business entities in the national efforts towards prevention and control of COVID-19.

In light of the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in the country, it has been noticed that there is increased public demand for personal protective equipment and products such as masks, hand sanitizers and medicines. Taking cognizance of the situation, the Authority solicits the support in the national efforts towards prevention and control of COVID-19 from all individuals and business entities dealing with the above products by ensuring the regular supply of personal protective equipment and products.

In line with the provisions of the Medicines Act and as notified by the Office of the Consumer Protection vide no. MoEA/OCP/PCD/Public Notice/09/19-20/202 dated 2nd February 2020, the Authority notifies the Pharmacy Retailers and Wholesalers to refrain from charging unreasonable prices. The Authority shall strictly monitor and take regulatory actions in case of noncompliance to this notification.
