After the formulation of Guideline for regulating Health Supplements, 2018, the Drug Regulatory Authority has initiated regulating Health Supplements. And to assess the variety of health supplements available in
the market and to sensitize on health supplements regulation, an inspection was carried out recently emphasizing Thimphu and Phuentsholing, where varied sorts of products were encountered.

Pursuant to this, the Authority would request all the private pharmacies (both retail and wholesale pharmacies) to provide a list of health supplements: products from Oriens, Patanjali etc that are being held at your premise, so that we can assist you in classifying them accordingly. Further, we would appreciate if you can inform the neighboring shops about the same, incase such products are being

To supplement, the Authority would like to solicit you to provide a complete list of controlled drugs available
at your premise, if any. And if there is none, we would be grateful to know the reasons why controlled drugs are not sold or distributed from your premise.
