This is to inform the general public that the Drug Regulatory Authority has not registered the product Oxy-99 as this product does not fulfill to be under the category of medicinal products.

However, this very product has been reported to be used as a first aid medication in overcoming mountain sickness by some of the high altitude hikers and trekking companies in the country.

Therefore, the Drug Regulatory Authority hereby cautions the public not to use such products for any medical conditions to prevent the risks of delay in reporting to healthcare centers in medical emergencies.
