The Royal Civil Service Commission has appointed Mr. Kinga Jamphel as the Drug Controller for Drug Regulatory Authority from 1st March 2017. He has joined his duties on 7th March, 2017.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Chief Program Officer for Non-Communicable Diseases Division, Department of Public Health, Ministry of Health. He started his career in 2001 as a Pharmacist in Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH)and then worked as the Program Manager for Essential Drugs Program in the then Drugs, Vaccines & Equipment Division. He also served as the Registrar in the Drug Regulatory Authority when the Drug Regulatory was established in 2004 under the Ministry of Health. He also worked as the Head of Menjong Sorig Pharmaceuticals under the Department of Traditional Medicines Services. He was the Chief Procurement Officer for Medical Supplies Procurement Division of the Department of Medical Supplies and Health Infrastructure and then served as the Chief Program Officer for Essential Medicines & Technology Division under the Department of Medical Services under the Ministry of Health.

Mr. Kinga Jamphel has a Masters Degree inBusiness Administration from the University of SouthAustralia, Australia and a Degree in Pharmacy from theUniversity of Bologna, Italy.
